Love to cuddle up to a good mystery book? How about treating yourself to the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (c) version after you complete the reading enjoyment!
One of the nice things about books...is it's not a passive entertainment. --James Patterson
1. Aurora Teagarden Mysteries
With favorite stars like Candace Cameron Bure and Yannick Bisson, this TV series is sure to be enjoyable . The written series also has much to offer--New York Times bestselling author Charlaine Harris began the series of the same name back in 1990. Her other novel series might also be of interest: adapted for HBO's True Blood is the Sookie Stackhouse series and Midnight, Texas, series was on NBC.
2. Murder She Baked
Starring the lovely Alison Sweeney, this TV series is based on the long-running book series titled Hannah Swensen. The multi-talented and NY Times bestselling author Joanne Fluke has consistently shared her writing talent for almost two decades. One of the sweetest reasons you will gobble up these books is the extra goodies offered within the pages that the on-screen version lacks: delicious recipes! Be sure to check out the Double Fudge Brownie Murder with the sounds-scrumptious, step-by-step guide to chocolate goodness.
3. Hailey Dean Mysteries
Well-known actress Kellie Martin stars in this upcoming (June 2018) new series loosely based on the Hailey Dean books by former prosecutor and broadcaster Nancy Grace. Curiosity is stirring to see how closely the televised will follow the published...and if it will be ranked higher than the average 3.5 stars Goodreads' participants dole out on the books.
4. Fixer Upper Mysteries
While you might be thinking that Chip & JoAnna Gaines are going Matlock on us, it's not the same Fixer Upper! This televised series is based on the (currently) six-book series by Kate Carlisle. Starring singer/songwriter Jewel alongside Colin Ferguson, it looks to provide for some sleuthing meets diy. But take a dive in the paint can of the mystery writings before watching!
