Typical Christmas story but with the added bonus of taking place in Texas; complete with a cowboy, a dog and lots of Christmas trees. There are several sub-plots besides the typical Janet Dailey love story. The cowboy is an ex-con, his love interest is the Mayor of the town, and he is estranged from his biological father who lives in the same town. While you never have to guess at the plot or the story outcome, Janet Dailey always writes a solid and entertaining book.
